This is going to be a short one.
Because you’re not going to become a writer by reading this newsletter. You’re not going to promote your business, get clients, attract a bigger audience, and make your dreams come true by reading this newsletter.
I’d love to say that you would, but you won’t.
You need to put yourself out there.
So, are you writing?
This question is multifaceted.
It includes the following questions:
Are you writing at all?
Are you writing as much as you’d like to be writing? If not, why not?
Are you publishing what you’re writing?
Are you editing what you’re writing?
Are you writing what you want to write, or are you writing what you think would make money?
Are you writing on all the platforms where you want to be writing?
Something interesting happened to me two weeks ago.
My financial motivation made me realize I could write much more than I thought I could.
I used to be proud that I wrote 5 articles and 2 newsletters a week.
Now, I submit 2 articles to Medium publications every day. I also keep writing the 2 newsletters per week. I also show up on LinkedIn, and I’m starting to take X more seriously, too (that’s the former Twitter, if someone is still confused).
So, what made me a hyper-writer?
Desire.
I want what I want so much, you guys!
I want to move to a city that’s 3 times more expensive.
I want to travel more.
I want to make sure my mom never worries about money.
I want more opportunities.
I want it all.
Not at all cost. One of my main messages is that we should all have more fun while we work, and not push ourselves too hard.
But also, if something IS fun, then push. Do more of it. Build that muscle. Create that traction and intensify it.
I know you can.
As Grand Cardon says, if you want to achieve 10X more, just do 10X more.
You know, sometimes, it really is just about quantity.
It’s about how much you write.
Because the opportunity is everywhere.
You want to write articles and make money? Head to Medium, Vocal, NewsBreak, or HubPages.
You want to start an effortless e-mail list and eventually create a paid newsletter? Head to Substack or ConvertKit.
You want to write social media posts and get paid? X (former Twitter) & Facebook would be happy to have you.
You want to sell freelance writing services? Fiverr and Upwork.
You want to sell e-books and digital products? Amazon and Gumroad.
So. Are you writing?
Do you need some help with that at all?
Feedback? Accountability? Advice?
In case you do, I recently launched a one-off coaching service for solopreneurs where we will sit down together and look at your goals, results, and attempts, and I will give you as specific advice as I can.
But you can do it alone, too. Just keep writing! Don’t you want it all?
Sending you all the creative energy in the world (not that you need it),
Maya
My most popular Medium articles from this week:
The Days of a Solopreneur: Emotional Snapshot
I Had a Bad Month, But I Know What Winners Do During Bad Times
This was a very helpful read! Sometimes it is about quantity, not all the time but sometimes! I can agree with this! Thanks, Maya!!
