A map won’t teleport you to your destination. But without one, you’re just wandering.
Your strategy is your map.
The problem is there are 100 ways to reach your goal… and 1,000 ways that look right but aren’t.
So how do you know?
Good strategy includes a business model.
A business model is how you make money. Who pays you? For what? Why? How?
You can sell services, products, or content. Charge one-time fees or subscriptions. Offer knowledge or entertainment. Plenty of paths, but they lead to different places.
“Turning my hobby into a business somehow” isn’t a strategy.
Good strategy feels easy.
Obvious, even. It’s exciting, and over time, it compounds. The more money you make, the easier it gets to make more.
Good strategy adapts.
If you’re stuck on one platform, one client, one thing—you’re vulnerable. A strong strategy flexes and grows with you.
The hardest part about a good strategy.
Sticking to it.
It feels too easy. We second-guess. We jump to the next shiny thing.
Like that time I had my brainwaves tracked at a biohacking event. They told me to focus on one spot for six minutes, eyes still. It was brutal.
Good strategy is like that. Staying the course when doubt creeps in.
It’s not about doing more, it’s about doing what works over and over again.
Till next time, Smarter Solos!

if we have the commitment, and I mean, we actually do have the commitment which is our Y all other things fall in place just like strategy we will follow through no matter what because of what we believe in and that we are committed to it so we don't give up sometimes we may tweak it somewhat. But if we are committed to that strategy, honestly, I don't see any way of not bringing it into fruition.. thanks Maya another great article as always
Absolutely spot on as always Maya. I definitely need to refine my strategy by being more specific within it, refining my SMART targets will be a good place to start.
