According to this Forbes article from 4 days ago, there’s a “22.4% year-on-year growth in the dollar amount of invoiced freelance work being managed.”

The research was carried out by Worksuite, a freelance management platform that connects businesses and freelancers. Some of the companies hiring through Worksuite: Marriott Bonvoy, Mediabrands, The New York Academy of Sciences, Microsoft, and WebMD.

This comes a few months after Goldman Sachs’ prediction that the creator’s economy will grow from $250B now to $480B by 2028.

HubSpot also quotes a recent study by IAB:

  • 44% of advertisers plan to increase spend with content creators in 2024

  • Brands anticipate increasing creator content budgets by 25% in 2024

  • 39% of consumers watch more content now than the year prior

  • 17% of consumers already pay for online content, and 35% consider paying in the future

In short, even if you’re just starting out as a solopreneur, you’re still ahead of the curve.

What this means for you.

I’ve been saying for years that solopreneurship is the future of work, but it seems like the future has arrived.

The most obvious way this affects you and me is that we now sell to solution-aware clients.

Solution-aware clients are closer to whipping out their credit cards compared to problem-aware clients. They understand the solutions we offer.

There’s also understanding now that freelancers cost more than employees, and that’s normal. Freelancers have more expenses and have deeper expertise.

But this glaring problem remains.

Now that we have potential clients, buyers and readers who are used to paying money for what we have to offer, all we gotta do is convince them why they should spend money on us versus anyone else.

So why you?

This question makes most newbies shiver. It shouldn’t.

Really, this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. This is the moment where you step up and make it happen.

You only need one skill for that — learning how to create irresistible offers.

Learning how to position yourself as an irresistible offer.

Trust me, it’s easier than it sounds.
