I was stuck at $2-$4K monthly for years.
Growth is hard!
I’d try everything too.
All the tips I’m giving you now (Medium, LinkedIn, email newsletters, recommendations, and multiple freelance platforms) didn’t work for me for a long time.
Then I read The 10x Rule book by Grant Cardone.
His concept is simple.
Step 1: Whatever goal you have, set 10 times bigger goal so it’s super exciting and motivating.
Step 2: Whatever you’re doing to achieve your goal, do 10 times more of it to achieve your 10x goal.
Simple and genius.
When you’re stuck, you’re usually asking yourself:
What else can I do?
That’s what I was thinking, anyway.
Cardone taught me that sometimes it’s just about doing more of the same.
Admittedly, I didn’t 10x my efforts, but I made a few significant changes.
I went from 2 articles on Medium per week to 4-6.
I went from posting on LinkedIn every once in a while to posting every day.
I went from doing the basics for my clients to offering them extras and being proactive in communication.
I went from getting random recommendations from friends and acquaintances to consciously creating connections (even friendships) & offering my expertise.
I went from choosing the free options in all software and educational tools to investing more in my know-how and optimizing my business.
Here’s exactly what happened as a result:
I won my first 5-figure copywriting contract — $12k for writing a SaaS company's website copy and email templates.
I made $1200 on Medium in my 4th month on the platform.
I became ProRated on Fiverr and doubled my Fiverr revenue.
I got a few clients from a LinkedIn article that went semi-viral.
Doing more feels hard or impossible when you’re overwhelmed, but I urge you to stretch yourself. Find your way. Limit the number of platforms but dial up the output. Add an hour or two to your weekly working hours. Commit to learning a new skill.
Whatever you’re doing now that brings you results, do more of the same.
In my experience, you’ll see results within 2-3 months.
Happy growing!

PS. If you’re currently on only one platform or have only one income stream, ignore this advice and add at least one more marketing channel.
