Fleeting motivation
Fleeting results
Sounds familiar?
The first online business I ever started was a coaching brand called Blizzard to a Breeze.
Here’s my work mug with the logo.
Except for the logo and the mug, I also got a coaching certificate and an expensive website. I even bought an e-mail list off the Internet. All set for success, right?
This business, of course, failed miserably. I struggled for a year, and worked with a few clients who couldn’t really afford coaching, but I didn’t feel like a business owner. I felt lost. How do I stand out? What can I even offer?
Looking back, I know exactly what my biggest mistake was.
The problem wasn’t my lack of know-how. The problem was my lack of decisions.
With Blizzard to a Breeze, all I knew was I wanted to serve women. But I had no idea:
If I wanted to offer business, career or relationship coaching.
If I wanted to offer one-on-one coaching, group coaching or digital products.
What was my long-term goal with the business?
What my marketing strategy should be?
If I could or should really do this. It felt more like “trying.”
The lack of decisions kept me stuck. It destroyed my business and my confidence. By the end of the first year, I was convinced that I was a horrible coach. I started freelancing as a writer on Fiverr instead.
In retrospect, I wasn’t ready to build a business. I wanted to be employed, and Fiverr was my next employer. It called the shots while giving me the illusion that I called them.
Now, I know better, and I want to help you find your way.
