This is so true Maya !! What a mind-blowing piece of advice

Didn't know that part of the deal, that's crazy. And such a cool example to tell the story.

I still feel a slight anxious pinch with the word "Intensity" 🤣. But I guess if I would not have even decided to turn paid subscriptions on next week, now I would for sure.

Yeah, it makes us all nervous. We’re trained to take it slow and be considerate. Not bad things, but not great either in the context of entrepreneurship.

That's true. And maybe, we can even use this considerate & slow training as a strength: Due to this "calibration", we are less likely to overshoot way too much in terms of risks or coming across in ways we don't want to. So we can still trust that even when increasing intensity, we probably won't go into overdrive that easily.

I read Tim’s post, too, and came away feeling the same. The word “intensity” has been rolling around in my head since. He’s so good! And motivational.

It's true that many (most) people never test the limits of their skills and resources.

The hard thing is slef-awareness, as always:

- do I need to do more of the same?

- do I need to improve what I'm already doing?

- do I need to diversify?

Or am I so burnt out that I will be able to decide only after a month of nothing?

Thanks for inspiring this reflection.

I think that’s the point: just do everything you can do. Better than wondering what to do and not doing anything. When you do more of everything, you’ll figure out what’s working, what you like, and how to move forward.

Clarity comes from action.

Absolutely.

Now I'm running a business in Italy, building my brand in English, and leading a tribute band.

It's tiring but exciting and fulfilling.

Right?? Sometimes a message stays in my head for so long, I can't think of anything else than to re-share it. If one extra person hears it, it's worth it.

And thank you!

It’s not that I’m postponing, because I’m sat here right now thinking about posting, and I have so many carcasses of unpublished posts it’s ridiculous.

My problem is I have an idea of what I would like to do. But I’m not quite certain. That leaves me stumped.

I can’t produce the intensity, I’m more like ‘well I could maybe do it this way. But I’m not sure…’.

But then I look at my past year and I had a lot of challenges. Like a lot. Surgery x2, eviction, car was totaled (which is how I earn money), broken ribs.

You see? That’s where all my intensity was. But I’m consulting with a few people so I can get the clarity I seek.

End of next month I go to court for the eviction. I have a lot of stuff on the landlord too.

But I’ll still owe them money I don’t have. But then I can sue them. Anyway, wise man learns.

When I look at the last year, I did handle some big situations and the grand finale is end of August.

Can I do something to change my fortunes? And I just keep going in a loop.

God i said too much

Yes, you can do something to change your fortunes.

You can publish your not-perfect pieces.

Then write some more AND publish them.

Everything else is happening anyway. Nothing you can do about it other than stand strong.

But writing & hitting publish? That, you can do.

And it's fine. None of us are perfect.
